Adopt a Tiger

Adopt a Tiger

At the beginning of the 20th century, there were an estimated 100,000 tigers in the wild. Today the number is thought to be less than 8,000. Their survival is threatened by poaching, the trade in tiger parts and habitat loss.

Tiger bones, whiskers and other body parts are sold on the black market for use in traditional Chinese medicines. These factors, combined with the remaining areas of forest becoming increasing isolated, mean that the tiger's struggle for survival is becoming harder.

If you adopt a tiger we can help to protect these wonderful animals.

Adopt a tiger for just £30 and you will receive a Tiger Adoption Pack containing:

  • an adoption certificate
  • a tiger photograph
  • four tiger postcards
  • One World Wildlife introductory pack containing an information sheet on your species
