Their arctic home is fast disappearing due to global warming. Polar bears face the very real chance of extinction.

There are currently between 20,000 and 25,000 Polar Bears in the world.

The threat of extinction for Polar Bears is a very real possibility. Their slow breedinghabits make them vulnerable, and global warming from pollution couldhave a disastrous effect on the cold-loving Polar Bear. If efforts are notmade to protect them and their steadily shrinking environment,their numbers may decrease even more in years to come.
